Jim Mulder joined the School Specialty team in the fall of 2022. Prior to joining School Specialty, Jim spent the previous 22 years building and growing SchoolKidz.com LLC. He led the company through several distinct acquisitions, showcasing his ability to adjust to everchanging expectations. From a shoestring basement operation, to venture capital demands, to Fortune 500 motions, to private equity discipline, he was front and center in ensuring the growth and prosperity of the SchoolKidz programs.

Now, as a member of the School Specialty family, this pursuit continues, along with a focus on driving sales opportunities in alternative channels. He brings a vast knowledge of sales structure development and strategic thinking, developing effective teams in school and office products focused markets.

Earlier in his career, he held positions with Newell Rubbermaid, a well-known consumer products company, and Deloitte & Touche, a leading public accounting firm. Mr. Mulder is a graduate of Ohio University, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and minoring in Interpersonal Communications.
